Each month, Down East editors select our favorite response to “Where in Maine?” Here is our favorite letter from August’s photo of Whaleboat Island.
Every summer, I come to Maine to visit family and “restoreth my soul.” My favorite moments are spent looking at beautiful Whaleboat Island from our family cottage. As kids, we explored it for pirate treasure and Indian arrowheads. It is, without a doubt, my favorite place on Earth.
